Split Run Dialog
The Split Run dialog displays from either of the following scenarios
- Placing Data Change Tee, or a Reducer from the Fittings Gallery.
- Select the Split Run option from the Piping Utilities Gallery.
When placing data change components, or opting to split a pipe run, the existing pipe run is split into two different runs (or three runs if desired with the tee option.) The following dialog displays the new pipe runs and allows you to modify each.
The existing pipe run is identified by the tag number to the left. Select a pipe run and press OK to display the Properties dialog. There, you can rename the run and modify any of its component properties.
Create new pipeline
If you enable the Create new pipeline option, when you select a pipe run and click OK, the Pipe Line Tag Creation dialog will display. From there, you can define a tag number, size and other various properties for the new pipeline. If you place annotation on the split pipe lines, they will display similar to the image shown below:
